Brennan with cake and presents and OH JOY I'm 3!!! 112704 (3)
So the Caped Wonder turned 3...if you notice, he has his two favorite things on...the red hockey sweatshirt that is usually worn for enough consecutive days that he has virtually an entire meal's worth of scraps crusted to the front. And let us NOT forget the Superman cape, buttoned just around the neck. He probably had his Spiderman boots on, too, and they were most likely on the wrong feet. Bren is like a cartoon -- that kid just CRACKS US UP. And here he was, spitting all over his 3rd birthday cake, a TRAIN cake, because he loves trains. We took him to the theatre to catch "The Polar Express" -- unfortunately, he made it only as far as the theatre darkening before he decided he'd rather be at home with Daddy and Kendon. Bummer for him, GREAT for me...I told Yaunna and her girlfriends to not talk to me during the length of the movie, and I sat watching, fixated and amazed at the digital mastery of the adapted Chris Van Allsburg book...it was bliss. No one attached to my boob, no diapers to change, no dog to scold, no words to transcribe, no emails to answer, no fax to unjam, no phone to curse at. Awesome.
Kendie Q...1st time in the high chair...
Here's Sir Kendon, in his throne. THE HIGH CHAIR. For the first time. He loved it. He was so fascinated by the fact that he could bang his hands on the tray that he didn't realize I was trying to shove peaches into his mouth. Instead, he shoved everything ELSE into his mouth and eventually grew quite frustrated at his choppy coordination that caused most of his toys to leap off the white tray and onto the floor where Lila proceeded to lick the remnants of the splattered peaches clean. Man, they grow so fast....
Oooooh, it's love! 120204
She's gonna KILL me when she sees that I am posting this on the blog...my daughter has a crush. But this is no ORDINARY crush...it is almost three schoolyears' long! WOW! Forgive me, little Ya-Ya, but that'll teach you to leave outright declarations of love in plain view for the whole family to see...especially because you KNOW your mother has a mean streak and will post it for the whole WORLD to see...simply because it is absolutely so sweet and so innocent and it makes all of us growed-ups smile and say, "Ahhhh! That is soooo cute!"
